In March 2020, Italy stops. Covid hits people first, then companies. With the entire hotel sector in crisis, the artisans of the textile world found themselves in a very difficult situation; they were the only ones capable of satisfying the needs of the best Italian hotels. But Matteo and Davide did not forget them, two friends who soon sought a solution: “Why should only hotels have access to top-quality home linens?”

The city of Bergamo is sadly remembered for the appearance of Covid. But only a few know that it is also the Italian birthplace of home textiles. This is exactly where Dalfilo was born and where the products are designed, worked and woven, where skills and techniques unique in the world were transmitted generation after generation.

Matteo and Davide understand that current e-commerce business models are not a threat to artisans, but only the opportunity to achieve their dream: making handmade home linens accessible to everyone. Technical skills emerge from physical space. The story and passion of the artisans must be communicated online to everyone. The quality of Made in Italy crosses borders. This is workshop 2.0, this is Dalfilo.
